Broken Boats – Dimitris Tamvakakis, Director

In order to contain overfishing, the EU offered high rewards for the demolition of traditional fishing boats. During the Greek crisis more than 12,500 traditional boats were destroyed, and the ancient art of boatbuilding appears to have ended abruptly. Broken Boats captures this unique moment through the eyes of the people involved.
