Craftsmen & Techniques Built in Ølve by the experienced shipbuilder Ola H Nerhus in 1884. Restored in 1984-89 at Hardanger fartøyvernsenter
Distinctive Features Raked stem. Transom with hinged rudder. All sails on one big mast and on long bowsprit and boom.
Propulsion Originally a sailing vessel. The reconstructed rig has a sail area of approximately 400 square meters. Was rigged down in the late 1930s. Now also has a modern engine for practical reasons.

PurposeBuilt as a cargo ship. The boat was used in the production and transport of salted and dried cod (Klippfisk). Today the vessel is a part of our cultural heritage and is used to teach people about the history of this trade and to teach people how to operat this kind of sailing vessels.
